Abbas varij kazemi was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, University of Tehran, Iran.He was dismissed last year because of political. He has conducted research in a number of areas including Media and Cultural Studies, Sociology of religion, Social movement and middle class in Iran. He is the author of sociology of the religious intellectual Movement in Iran(Taarh – e- No,2004) and Measures of religiosity in Iran (2008), Cultural studies, Cultural consumption and everyday life(jahat,2007) and Iranian everyday life(asheyan,2008).also he had Contribution to write two chapter(Religious Intellectuals, Globalization, and Social Change andLevels of Secularization in the Iranian Society) in Media,Culture and Society: Livin with globalization and Islamic Statet, Mehdi Semati(Editor), Routledge: London and New York,2008.
